HeyFootball: the complete beginner's guide
Everything you need on day one: signing up with just a username, earning your first coins, opening packs, building a dream team and climbing the leaderboard.
HeyFootball is a free football site you play in your browser. You collect player cards, play quick arcade games, predict real matches and compete with your friends, all in one place and with no download. This guide walks you through your first day so you know exactly where the best rewards are.
1. Create your account in 10 seconds
You don't need an email address. Pick a username (3 to 20 letters or numbers) and a password, and you're in. Your account works on any phone or computer, so you can start on your laptop and carry on from your phone at the bus stop.
If a friend sent you an invite link, use it when you sign up. You'll both get a free Rare pack and you'll be friends straight away. More on that in our guide to playing with friends.
2. Claim your daily reward every day
At the top of the Arcade and Cards you'll find the Daily rewards box. Claim it once a day and the reward grows the longer your streak lasts:

3. Earn coins in the Arcade
The Arcade has more than 20 quick games, from a Penalty shootout and Keepy uppy to Header heroes, a Crossbar challenge and the infamous Deadly Challenge. Every game you play while signed in earns coins and points, and there's no daily limit.
Good starter games:
- Penalty shootout: five shots, quick to learn.
- Footy word: guess the 5-letter football word in six tries. A win pays a 50-coin prize.
- Who Am I?: a new mystery player every day, and fewer clues means more coins.
- Crossbar challenge: aim, then stop the power bar in the green zone.
4. Open your first packs
Head to Cards and open the Packs tab. Each pack gives you three players. A Basic pack costs 100 coins and is mostly Common and Uncommon players, while the pricier packs give rarer cards. Duplicates aren't wasted: you get coins back for every double. Our guide to card rarities and pack odds explains exactly which pack is worth your coins.
5. Build your dream team
Once you have a few players, pick 11 of them for your dream team in a 4-3-3. Every day each player scores points based on their rating and their power-up, your captain scores double, and you earn coins worth half of your team's points. 6. Predict real matches
In the Arcade's Predictions game you guess the score of real upcoming matches. An exact score earns 100 points and 50 coins, and the right result (win, draw or loss) earns 50 points and 25 coins. Predictions lock at kick-off. Our score prediction tips will give you an edge.
7. Join the daily tournament
Every player is entered into a knockout Tournament. Each day you're paired with an opponent, and whoever scores more points in the Arcade that day goes through to the next round. If the numbers don't work out, some players get a bye straight into the next round.
8. Don't miss Admin Abuse
On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 17:00 to 18:00 (Portugal time), Admin Abuse switches on: double coins, double points, half-price packs and coin rain at :00, :20 and :40, where you catch falling coins with a basket. It's the best hour of the week to play.
