Playing with friends: battles, leagues, chat, trades and challenges

HeyFootball is more fun with friends. You can battle each other's cards, race in a private league, trade, chat, and challenge each other's scores. And bringing friends in earns you free packs. Everything social lives in the 💬 Social tab (Chat, Friends and Leagues). Here's how it all works.

Add friends with a friend code

Every player has a 6-character friend code, like K7QX2M. Find yours in Social → Friends → My friends and tap 📋 Copy. When your friend types it in, you're friends instantly, with no request to accept. Codes leave out letters that look alike (0 and O, 1 and I), so they're easy to read out loud.

⚔️ Card battles

Open Cards → ⚔️ Battles and tap New battle. Pick a friend, a stake (free, or up to 500 coins) and 3 of your cards. Your friend gets a notification and a red dot on Cards, then picks their 3 without seeing yours. Each card scores like in the dream team: its rating ±5 plus its power-up, and Club link, Nation link, Leader, Rock and Finisher all work between your 3 cards. The higher total takes the whole pot. Your battle history shows every challenge you got, every one you sent and every result.

⚡ Live battles

See a green dot next to a friend? They're online right now. In Cards → Battles, tap ⚡ Battle now next to them. When they accept, you both get 10 seconds to pick 5 cards, then play 5 quick rounds: each round you have 5 seconds to play one card, and the card with more points (power-ups included) wins the round. Win the most rounds to win the battle.

🏆 Leagues with friends

In Social → Leagues, give your league a name and pick friends to play in it, just like making a group chat. Everyone in the league can add more of their own friends, up to 30 players. The table adds up prediction points (100 for an exact score, 50 for the right result) and dream team points from the day the league starts. Read our prediction tips to get ahead.

🚩 Player war

Pick a Manchester United player in Player war and every Arcade point you score that week counts for him. A player's score is the total of his 10 best fans, and every fan of the winning player who scored points can collect 150 coins on Monday.

😈 Red Devils

Post a news story, a match, your best Arcade score, a team's form or table position, your cards or your dream team to Red Devils, with a style and a caption. Look for the 😈 Post on Red Devils button all over the site. The hottest posts rise to the top, and your likes count as a stat on your profile.

Invite rewards: free packs for both of you

Your personal invite link is in Social → Friends and on your Profile. When a new player joins with it:

• they get a free Rare pack and you become friends automatically,
• you get a free Rare pack too,
• and every 5 friends who join earns you a treasure chest with five random prizes.

Invite rewards count for your first 20 invites. Share your link on WhatsApp with one tap.

Trade cards

Open a friend's profile to see their collection, then tap 🔄 Trade doubles. You can see which of their cards you already own, and you don't have to offer the same number of cards on each side. Trading is the best way to complete your collection. Check what your doubles are worth in our rarity guide.

Chat with friends

Social → Chat has a private chat with each friend, an "All my friends" chat, and group chats. Tap + to create one, pick two or more friends and name it. Chats are friends-only, and messages you've read on your phone also count as read on your computer.

Challenge links

After any Arcade game, tap 📤 Share my score & challenge a friend. You get a picture of your score and a link. When your friend opens it, they land straight in that game with a banner showing the score to beat. If they beat it, they're told to share it back, and the rivalry continues. The Deadly Challenge is perfect for this.

Compete in the tournament and leaderboards

You and your friends are all in the daily knockout Tournament, and you can compare totals on the leaderboards. The friendly rivalry is half the fun.
